As the Financial Planning Subject Matter Expert, Kirby Pederson’s role is to create comprehensive, written financial plans including customized asset allocations, and coordinate implementation of these plans. Kirby believes that every client’s situation is unique; by asking the right questions and collecting the necessary information, the plan can be developed customized for each client.
With his passion for financial planning, Kirby earned the ChFC© (Chartered Financial Consultant) and CFP© (Certified Financial Planner™) designations following his graduation from Arizona State University with a degree in Finance in 2010. In addition to these highly regarded designations, Kirby currently holds the following securities licenses: FINRA Series 7, 66, 24 and 53.
Kirby has an extensive background in compliance and risk management. In 2012 he was named Agency Supervisory Officer at MassMutual Arizona, a general agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. In this role a role he helps supervise over 75 financial planners, investment advisors, registered representatives and insurance agents in Arizona, New Mexico and California. He has a passion for compliance and assuring that not only are all recommendations in the client’s best interest, but that all the rules are followed.
He has lived in the valley since 2006. Outside of work, he loves to spend time with his wife, friends, and family. He loves the outdoors, running, hiking and golfing. He is a huge football fan with a special affinity for Arizona State University and the Minnesota Vikings.
